A unique neighbourhood festival.
Gracia was a village independent of Barcelona until the end of the 19th century, a neighbourhood separate from the city. Its population, mostly composed of labourers and artisans, then underwent significant changes.
La Festa Major de Gracia, or the Feast of Gracia, takes place every year in August. Exhibitions, activities for children, dance, theatre and sports… numerous activities animate the area's squares, especially the Plaza del Sol. Its uniqueness lies in the creative decorations adorning the streets of Gracia, inspired by a specific theme, later judged in a competition.
