Casa Batlló

Gaudi's dragon house.
The Casa Batllo, or "House of Batlo" in Catalan, was raised in 1877 by E. Sala i Cortes. It was transformed by Gaudi in 1904 at the request of a rich proprietor named José Batlló i Casanovas. The building is located in the heart of the Eixample neighbourhood on the Passeig de Gracia. A large part of the original furniture, designed by Gaudi himself, is displayed at the Gaudi Museum (in the Park Güell).
Along with six other buildings designed by Gaudi, the casa Batlló was listed as a Unesco World Heritage monument, in 1984.
