Catalonian art in a nutshell.
The MNAC (the National Museum of Catalonian Art) is a goldmine of local artwork. Within one can admire a plethora of displays: sculptures, paintings, objets d'art, drawings, engravings, prints, posters, photographs… The museum's collections span from the early 10th century to the mid 20th, covering about a millenium of Catalonian art. You can admire Roman and Gothic Medieval art, Renaissance and Baroque works (El Greco, Velázquez, Rubens…), and much more. The most recent collections reveal modernist movements or avant-garde sculpture work…
