Passeig de Gràcia - street
The most expensive avenue in Spain.
Stretching some five kilometres, the Passeig de Gràcia is the luxury shopping street in Barcelona, in the district of Eixample. You will find an abundance of international high street shops such as H&M and Zara alongside labels such as Adidas or Miss Sixty. The high end boutiques such as Marina Rinaldi, Ermenegildo Zegna and Max Mara precede the luxury couture fashion houses such as Chanel, Yves-Saint-Laurent, Hermès, Dolce and Gabbana, Louis Vuitton and so on.
The Passeig de Gràcia is also of significant architectural interest, for it is here that the houses which make up the "la manzana de la discordia" are to be found. Spot the casa Lleó-Morera designed by Lluís Domènech i Montaner, the casa Amatller by Josep Puig i Cadafalch and casa Batlló, by Antoni Gaudí, all three architects belonging to the Modernisme movement.
